The line begins on the left with the name of the team followed by the spread, the over/under and the moneyline. The spread and over/under have the number which the line is set at while the moneyline only has the odds. Additionally, you can bet on a draw using the bottom column’s money line.

The moneyline is fairly straightforward since you’re only betting on one team to beat another. You can also opt to bet on a draw with the money line. Using the example above we can see that Philadelphia Union is a -142 betting favorite on the money line. Likewise Orlando City SC is pegged as an underdog on the moneyline.
Normally the line starts at -110 and will continue to rise if a team is a favorite, like Philadelphia here. If a team is an underdog the odds will go into the pluses (+). So if you want to bet on the Union, you would need to place a $142 bet in order to be eligible for $100. In short, a $142 winning bet on Philadelphia would net you $242 (the original $142 + the $100 in winnings).
On the other hand, since Orlando City SC is the underdog, taking them straight up is more alluring. Simply put, a $100 winning bet on Orlando City SC would net you $428 (the original $100 + the $328 in winnings). Similarly, a $100 winning bet on the draw would net you $456.
The soccer betting spread is a popular option due to how it operates. Instead of betting on one team to win, you are betting on a team to cover the spread. So how does a team cover the spread? In the above example we can see that the spread is set at ½ a point. Normally to cover the spread a team needs to beat the other team by that amount. So for Philadelphia Union to cover the spread, all they need to do is beat Orlando City SC. On the other hand, Orlando City SC will cover the spread if they upset Philadelphia Union or if they tie them, since they will have avoided losing by that amount.
Betting on the TOTALs line is a bet on how many points will be scored in total in a given matchup. The line above is set at 3. If you think that there will be more than 3 goals scored in this match, you would take the OVER. The OVER is always the top line, Orlando City SC in our example. If you think fewer than 3 goals will be scoredS, take the bottom line.
