NFL Betting Sites Pumped Up About Packers-Falcons Match

The NFL usually reserves the best online NFL wagering matchup of the week for Sunday night, but last week’s Sunday night football matchup was rather dull. The New York Giants battled it out with the Dallas Cowboys and although the matchup looked good at first glance, once it kicked off it was clear that this was going to be a snooze-inducing.
This weekend’s matchup should be totally different. On deck is a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship match between the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons. That title game was high-scoring to say the least and players betting on NFL in Week 2 should expect something similar this Sunday.

Green Bay Packers
The Packers opened up Lambeau Field this season by facing the reigning NFC West champions. Seattle posed a respectable threat in Week 1 but once the game was over, some online NFL betting pundits were left praising the Packers while others were praising Seattle.
The Seahawks had suffered some injuries to the offensive line before the season began. So when the Packers defensive line manhandled Seattle’s linemen, forcing a fumble in the most opportune moment, some critics wrote it off as a simple case of the injury bug. Now the Packers defense is faced with a real challenge: the Seahawks’ offense pales in comparison to Matt Ryan’s unit.
Green Bay was able to score on the Falcons’ without too much problem and with Aaron Rodgers being the man that he is, players betting on NFL games should expect similar results this Sunday. But the same can be said about the Falcons. Green Bay’s secondary got carved up by Ryan in the NFC Championship game. And even though the Packers’ secondary has made some additions, they haven’t all that much improvement. The Seahawks certainly didn’t put them to the test so we’ll find out who they truly are this weekend.
The Falcons also kicked off their 2017 season with a win, albeit theirs was much closer than NFL betting sites originally anticipated. Atlanta opened their season by traveling to Chicago and taking on the Bears at Soldier Field. The consensus was that the reigning NFC champions would come in and manhandle the Bears – a team that finished 2016 with a 3-13 record.
However the Bears fared much better than expected. Chicago earned a surprising 125 yards on the ground and 176 through the air. This raises some concern as Atlanta is now slated to face off against a much better offense. If Mike Glennon finished the day against the Falcons with an 86.8 passer rating, NFL betting fans should expect an even greater result from Rodgers.
