NBA Betting: BetNow is the Home for NBA Bets All Season Long

The NBA basketball betting season is immensely popular for a variety of reasons. There are a ton of matchups to wager on and a myriad of opportunities to come out on top. But most importantly, it makes watching NBA basketball games that much more fun.
Online sportsbook betting is now a trend among sports fans and online bettors. The NBA is hugely popular and has been for quite some time now. However, there’s no denying that the league is doing a great job of keeping the NBA’s stature steadily growing. Naturally, NBA online betting has taken off, giving basketball fans plenty of opportunities to find value by wagering on their favorite sport.
It’s important to note that there are many different kinds of NBA bets. You could engage in bets on whether one team or another wins NBA games. Or, alternatively, there are plenty of bets about whether one team is going to win a quarter, or even on who’s going to be ahead at the end of a half, and so forth.
Different Betting Options for Getting In On the Action
Some sports wagering sites only let you bet on who’s going to win the game. Our site offers more — you can bet on who’ll “win” the first quarter, the first half, moneyline bets, against the point spreads, spread bets, and so much else.
Our site also offers “live bets.” What that means is that the betting goes on with the game. You can bet throughout the game, as opposed to having to get everything done before the game starts.
The first step is to create an account by signing up. Once you’ve gone and taken care of that, you’re all set to sink your teeth into NBA betting action. But before you make some bets it’s important to gain some familiarity with common NBA betting lines.
Tips On Bets That Matter
As ever, gamble responsibly. An online bet is a great way to have fun and even make some money, but don’t bet more than you can afford to lose.
One of the keys is finding sites that offer NBA gambling the way you want to engage in it. Many sites have NBA odds — these could be the odds of who’s going to win the game today, but you could also find plenty of sites that offer sports odds about players’ individual seasons, which NBA teams are going to make a run at the NBA title, and so forth.
Our mobile site makes it easy to bet on the NBA squads you want to bet on. Whether you’re going with your home team or any other of the NBA teams, you can bet them all right here — from any device, when and how you’d like.
The NBA Season
The 2025-26 NBA season consists of 30 different teams competing in an 82-game schedule. NBA Regular season play commences in October and continues up until April of the following year. Afterwards, post-season play begins leading up to the NBA Finals in June.
The 30 squads are split into two conferences with the top 8 from each getting a spot in the playoffs. The Eastern Conference has Atlantic, Central and Southeast divisions. The Western Conference has Northwest, Pacific and Southwest divisions.
Every team goes through Spring Training before the regular season, so you’ll be able to bet on all of the teams — not just the popular ones. With live odds available from the Indiana Pacers to the Chicago Bulls to the Lakers, BetNow is the home for online NBA sports wagering.
It All Leads to The Finals
The NBA Finals represent the annual championship series for the NBA between the Eastern and Western Conferences. The Finals come after the NBA playoff rounds — the annual best-of-seven elimination tournament featuring 16 NBA teams (8 from each conference) competing in a 4-round tournament.
Of the two teams that meet in the NBA Finals, the one with the better record will earn home field advantage. A total of 19 franchises have won the NBA Finals. The Boston Celtics hold the most titles with 17 as well as the record for most consecutive championships — 8 straight from 1959-1966.
However, the Lakers have the most Finals appearances with 31. Each matchup on the road to the Finals represents a betting opportunity — from the conference quarterfinals to the penultimate conference finals.
Types of NBA Basketball Betting Lines
When wagering on the NBA, the most common types of NBA lines consist of the money line, the spread, the over/under and live betting lines. The line starts on the left with the name of the team followed by the spread, the over/under and lastly, the money line. The spread and over/under have the number at which the line is set followed by the odds. The moneyline only has the odds.
Sample NBA Betting Line
| Team | Spread | Over/Under | Moneyline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pelicans | +5½ (-110) | 227 (-110) | +190 |
| Raptors | -5½ (-110) | 227 (-110) | -230 |
| Team | Spread | Over/Under | Moneyline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raptors | +2½ (-110) | 211½ (-110) | +123 |
| Warriors | -2½ (-110) | 211½ (-110) | -143 |
The Money Line
Betting on the money line is fairly straightforward — you are simply wagering on one team to beat another. The Raptors are -230 favorites. At -230 odds, you would have to bet $230 in order to be eligible for $100 in winnings. A $230 winning bet on Toronto would net you a total of $330 back.
On the other hand, the odds are more lucrative when taking the underdog. The Pelicans are facing +190 odds, which means a $100 winning bet on New Orleans would net you $290 back in winnings — albeit the Pelicans would have to pull off the upset.
Bet the Spread
When you bet on the spread you aren’t betting on a team to win necessarily, but rather to beat the spread. The Raptors are -5½ point favorites, which means they have to beat the Pelicans by more than 5½ points to cover.
Totals (Over/Under)
When you bet on the TOTALs you are betting on the total number of points that will be scored in the game. This line is also called the over/under because you are betting that the score will either go over or under the figure.
In the example above the line is set at 227 points. If you believe that more than 227 points will be scored in this matchup, you would bet on the over. If you believe that less than 227 points will be scored, you would then bet on the under. The over is always the line on top and the under is always the line on the bottom.
Parlays
A parlay is multiple bets turned into one. You could have a 5-team parlay where you make straight up picks across 5 different NBA games. Instead of placing action on each one individually, you can group the bets into one for a massive payout. Of course, you would need to be right in all of them. Certain NBA matchups feature extremely lopsided odds on the money line — you can sweeten the deal by making a parlay on these types of games.
Props
Player Props are decided by the stats and performance of the player. These can be on a variety of things such as which team will score first, which player will win MVP in the finals, or which player will score more points in a specific game. The odds vary from each line and there are usually a ton of different prop bets to choose from. These can also offer a strategic advantage, particularly if you’re very familiar with the players and teams.
Teasers
Teasers allow you to buy points off of a spread line but in exchange you have to make predictions across at least two separate contests. You could buy 5 points off of the spread line, essentially converting it into a pick ’em or money line — making it much easier for your prediction to come true. The more squads you add to your teaser, the harder it is for your prediction to come true, which means an even sweeter payout in the end.
Live Betting
Live betting and live odds represent the absolute best of online NBA sports betting. You are allowed to make bets on NBA odds as it unfolds — needless to say, this offers up to the minute odds on all your favorite teams, players, and more. The momentum can change at a moment’s notice so every second is crucial. This is arguably the most exhilarating action available so make sure to check it out when you get a chance.
Futures
Futures betting is fairly straightforward as well. You are allowed to make predictions on who will win the NBA Finals or even the conferences way out in advance. Naturally the further out you are, the more lucrative the odds can be. Below we’ll be taking a look at the NBA futures betting odds.
