Mauricio Rua, better known as “Shogun”, is a 38-year-old UFC veteran that came from Curtiba, Parana in Brazil. He stands at six-foot-one and trains at the Universidade Da Luta. He already created an impact by winning against Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz. Even with some losses, he impressed battling Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader. He battled Marcio “Shogun” Rua in August 2015 in UFC 190 where he lost by a unanimous decision. Nogueira is coming to this match from a loss back in May 2019 in UFC 237 as he got knocked out by Ryan Spann in the first round.
