Dustin Poirier is a 31-year-old lightweight fighter that hails from Carencro, Louisiana. “The Diamond” stands at five-foot-nine and trains at the renowned American Top Team stable. He has a 25-6 professional MMA record with 12 wins through knockouts. Poirer started fighting at the UFC at a very young age of 21 years old in January 2011. Since then he has 17 wins, five losses and one no-contest.

In 2019, he was the UFC lightweight interim champion but he lost the unification bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC 242 in September 2019. The match with Nurmagomedov was his last fight but before that, he had won five of his last six fights with one bout ended in a no-contest. In that run, he had two knockouts, two decision wins, a no-contest against Eddie Alvarez, and a triangle submission win over Anthony Pettis.

Dan Hooker

Dan Hooker is a 30-year-old lightweight fighter that came all the way from Auckland, New Zealand. “The Hangman” stands at six-flat and trains at the City Kickboxing fight team. He now holds an impressive record of 20-8 record with ten victories coming from knockouts. Hooker has been in the UFC since June 2014. It was an up-and-down battle for him to start his UFC career as he split his first six fights to three wins and three losses.

Since then, he won four straight matches from June 2017 to July 2018 before losing to Edson Barboza. He went on to win his next three fights. Two of them came this 2019 against James Vick through a KO punch and the other was a unanimous decision victory over Al Iaquinta. His last registered fight was with Paul Felder this February 2020 in UFC Fight Night 168 and that resulted in a split decision win.
