We’ve got a great UFC betting online weekend upon us this weekend. At long last Cain Velasquez is making his return to the octagon. After being placed on hiatus due to injuries, every single UFC sports betting fan on the planet is anxiously awaiting his return. Fortunately we won’t have to wait much longer. And even more fortunate is the fact that Velasquez is coming back to face Ngannou. Although Ngannou was humbled by Stipe Miocic, he regained some of his stock with a brutal knockout win over Curtis Blaydes. So which version of Ngannou will we see this Saturday? Let’s check on this weekend’s UFC mobile betting odds to find out.

UFC on ESPN: Ngannou vs. Velasquez – Saturday, February 16th

Where: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona

TV: Main Card: ESPN || Prelims: ESPN || Early Prelims: ESPN+

Stream: Watch ESPN, UFC TV

Interestingly enough, this will be the first UFC on ESPN event. This is a tremendous moment for the promotion as it has long battled to gain this type of recognition. Ultimately they’ve picked the perfect bout for this event as this is one heavyweight bout you won’t want to miss. Velasquez has long been considered one of the if not the best heavyweight on the planet. Heck even his teammate Daniel Cormier, the current heavyweight champion, is quick to admit that Velasquez is the best heavyweight on the planet. Needless to say the whole world is brimming in anticipation.

The night will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and former heavyweight challenger Francis Ngannou. It comes as no surprise to see that Ngannou is pegged as the underdog here. However, the odds aren’t as lopsided as one would expect. This is most likely due to Velasquez absence from the ring.

While the odds aren’t sure what we will see out of Velasquez, longtime MMA fans certainly are. Although we all saw Fabricio Werdum submit him at UFC 188, we also saw him deliver a brutal 1st round TKO over Travis Browne at UFC 200. Since then Velasquez’ return to the octagon has been stifled by injuries. Now he’ll have to make his return against the hardest hitting man on the planet. Ultimately this means that Velasquez cannot afford any mistakes this upcoming Saturday. Fortunately he comes from a camp that has plenty of world champions.

Without a doubt, Francis Ngannou was considered one of the more electrifying fighters on the planet. That was until he was completely humbled by Miocic. After all, Ngannou followed that fight up with one of the weirdest performances we’ve seen in the octagon in his bout versus Derrick Lewis. Indeed he did redeem himself with the knockout win over Blaydes, as we previously brought up. In the end he’ll be facing Velasquez this weekend so a boring fight isn’t even a possibility.
