Omari Akhmedov

Omari Akhmedov is known as “The Wolverine” inside the MMA cage and this natural welterweight came all the way from Makhachkala in Dagestan, Russia. He trains at the American Top Team and owns a 20-4 professional MMA record. Akhmedov has had a fair career with seven wins through knockouts and five were from submissions. He started fighting in the UFC  in March 2014 and after a rough two wins and three losses to start his career, Akhmedov is finally picking it up. In his six recent fights, he won five and one resulted in a draw. His last match was back in December 2019 in UFC 235. He was pitted against Ian Heinisch and lasted for three rounds to earn the nod of all the judges.

Chris Weidman

Akhmedov vs Weidman Betting Picks

Times has not been good to Weidman for the past five years and the skills he showed in the cage still puts him above Omari Akhmedov by Sportsbook. It is tough not to bet on Weidman and wish that the old version of him comes out and it would be another low for his career if he indeed loses this one as well.
