UFC Fight Night 171: Lee vs. Oliveira 03/14/2020 Odds
Kevin Lee is a 27-year-old American professional lightweight MMA fighter that hails from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Known as the “Motown Phenom”, Lee fights out of Tristar Gym and he owns a professional MMA record of 18-5. He came to the UFC in February 2014 and he had a rough start against Al Iaquinta on his debut match that resulted in a unanimous loss. He then went on undefeated in his next four bouts and took down the likes of Jesse Ronson, Jon Tuck, Michel Prazeres and James Moonsasri.
Lee tasked another defeat in the UFC in the hands of Leonardo Santos where he was knocked down in the first round. After bouncing back from the loss, the fighter had a five-match winning streak. He has been struggling lately and in his last five matches, he lost thrice against high ranked fighters in his weight division with Tony Ferguson, Al Iaquinta and Rafael dos Anjos. He is looking forward to bouncing back and get another chance at the UFC lightweight championship. Lee is coming off from a morale-boosting win over Gregor Gillespi back on November 2, 2019, in UFC 244.
Charles “do Bronx” Oliveira is a 30-year-old Brazilian MMA fighter that fights out of Chute Boxe Diego Lima and Gold Team. He hails from Guaruja, Sao Paulo and fights at the lightweight division in his entire career. This fighter stands at five-foot-ten and owns a professional MMA record at 28-8. He made his MMA debut in August 2010 as one of the most promising 19-year-old fighters coming in the UFC.
He had a hard time getting wins in his first years and he only got his groove in 2014 when he won four-straight matches. Oliveira then lost four of his next six matches and it was against the best in his division with Anthony Pettis, Ricardo Lamas, Max Holloway and Paul Felder. Since June 2018, he has not been defeated in six bouts and he hopes to earn a title shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov with another strong performance in his home country.
