Main Card & Online UFC Betting Lines

Jeremy Stephens 1½ (-245)   +135 vs. Doo Ho Choi 1½ (+205)     -155

Uriah Hall 1½ (-165) -325 vs. Vitor Belfort 1½ (+145)       +265

Paige VanZant 2½ (+245)     EV vs. Jessica Rose-Clark 2½ (-290)           -120

Kamaru Usman         2½ (+115)       -650 vs. Emil Weber Meek 2½ (-135)           +475

The night will be headlined by a featherweight bout between MMA veteran Jeremy Stephens and up-and-comer Doo Ho Choi. It’s been a while since online UFC betting fans caught a glimpse of Choi, who was once compared to Conor McGregor by Dana White. Despite the high praise, Choi’s hype-train was quickly dismounted by Cub Swanson, who ended the Korean’s 12-fight win streak at UFC 206. Nevertheless, Choi has opened as a favorite over Stephens.

All in all, sportsbooks decision to favor the Korean over Stephens might have more to do with the veteran’s track record. Stephens enters this bout with a 26-14 record and over the past three years ‘Lil Heathen’ has shown some disappointing consistency. Specifically, Stephens is 3-3 over the last three years, winning and losing a bout each year. And by the looks of it, the fight night betting lines are predicting Stephens will kick the year off with a loss.

Prelims & MMA Betting Odds

Darren Elkins 2½ (-200)       +135 vs. Michael Johnson 2½ (+170)           -155

James Krause 2½ (+160)      -160 vs. Alex White 2½ (-185)           +140

Matt Frevola 1½ (+110)        -235 vs. Marco Polo Reyes 1½ (-130)           +195

Thiago Alves 2½ (-190)         +170 vs. Zak Cummings 2½ (+165) -200

The undercard will be headlined by a featherweight bout between Darren Elkins and another UFC veteran in Michael Johnson. Johnson is dropping to featherweight to see if he can find better success, considering that he’s 1-4 in his last 5 fights. Additionally, Johnson complained about the UFC’s decision to put him on the undercard, since the event will be held in his home town.
