Lineker is on a four-fight winning streak, including two Fights of the Night versus Alp Ozkilic and Rob Font at Fight Night 45 and UFC 198 respectively. McDonald, on the other hand, is 2-2 in his four last bouts; losing to Renan Barao at UFC on Fuel TV 7 and to Urijah Faber at UFC on Fox 9, and defeating Brad Pickett at Fight Night 26 (Submission of the Night) and Masanori Kanehara at UFC 195 (Performance of the Night). Even though McDonald is something of a KO artiste, he lived and died by submission in all of those four matches. The win over Kanehara marked Mayday’s return to action after a little more than two years out with hand and wrist injuries. Unlike Antonio Inoki vs. Ali, McDonald is more comfortable fighting on his feet, as is Lineker. UFC betting fans should keep in mind that the latter’s moniker of ‘Hands of Stone’ is not just a term of endearment. It would not be the first time that Lineker finishes a guy in the first round by knockout.
