Amanda Ribas is a young 26–year-old women’s strawweight fighter that is based in Varginha Minas Gerais in Brazil. She stands at five-foot-four and trains at the Marcelo Ribas Team stable. She has a 9-1 professional MMA record and she evens her wins to knockouts, submissions and decisions. Ribas came into the UFC just this June 2019 at UFC on ESPN 3 and she immediately created an impact by beating Emily Whitmire via rear-naked choke in the second round. Prior to that, she fought in Pentagon Combat, Jungle Fight and Max Fight. She has not experienced a defeat in the UFC and she won her last two fights as well. The first one was against Mackenzie Dern in UFC Fight Night 161 and the latest was against Randa Markos just this March 2020. Both wins were through a unanimous decision by the judges.
Paige VanZant is also a young 26-year-old fighter that came from Sparks, Nevada in the USA. “12 Gauge” trains at the Gracie Barra Portland stable and she carries a professional MMA record of 8-4. Six of her wins are split from submissions and decisions. VanZant came to the UFC in November 2015 at 21 years of age. She won her first three fights in the UFC and they were against Kailin Curran, Felice Herrig and Alex Chambers. Her first taste of defeat was against former champion Rose Namajunas in December 2015. After bouncing back by winning over Bec Rawlings, she had a string of defeats by losing to Michelle Waterson and Jessica-Rose Clark. Her last registered match was just this January 2019 in UFC Fight Night 143 as she submitted Rachael Ostrovich in the second round via armbar.
