UFC 251: Paiva vs Zhamagulov 07/11/2020 – The Ultimate Fighting Championship is set to start the month of July with one incredible fight card with UFC 251. This event is set to happen in the mysterious and hyped up “Fight Island” that Dana White is talking about. The event will happen this Saturday, July 11 at Yas Island located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The main card will feature three tightly contested title fights but the preliminary bouts can also be a part of the main card in some events. One of these matches is are two flyweights taking on each other as Raulian Paiva gets in the cage with Zhalgas Zhamagulov. Raulian Paiva is a young 24-year-old Brazilian fighter that came from Santana, Amapa. He stands at five-foot-eight and this flyweight trains at the famous Team Alpha Male and Ronildo Nobre Judo Club. His professional fighting record is at 19-3 with 12 wins through submissions. Paiva started to get noticed by the UFC after fighting in Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Brazil in August 2018. He had an intense matchup with Allan Nascimento which resulted in a close split decision. In his first two UFC matches, he lost both fights against Kai Kara-France and Rogerio Bontorin in 2019. Paiva finally scored his first win in the UFC by prevailing over Mark de la Rosa in UFC Fight Night 167 just this February 2020 as he knocked out his opponent in round 2.
Zhalgas Zhamagulov is a 31-year-old MMA fighter and his hometown is located in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. He is five-foot-four and trains at the Erkin Kush stable. His professional MMA record stands at 13-3 with 12 wins split from knockouts and decisions. Zhamalgulov made his presence felt in the field of MMA by being a prime fighter at the FNG or Fight Nights Global organization. In his six fights in FNG, he lost only once and he is coming from a four-fight winning streak. His incredible fighting power earned his ticket to the UFC roster as he is making his debut fight against Paiva. For the past four bouts, he all won it by the judges’ decision.
