UFC 251: Andrade vs Namajunas 07/11/2020 – The Ultimate Fighting Championship is about to showcase their most stacked fight card since returning from the sports lockdown in UFC 251. This event will be held in “Fight Island” located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates this Saturday, July 11. Jessica Andrade
Jessica Andrade is at her prime of 28 years old and she came all the way from Umuarama, Parana, Brazil. “Bate Estaca” is at five-foot-two and fights for the Parana Vale Tudo stable. She owns a 20-7 professional MMA record. Andrade came to the UFC as a 22-year-old fighter back in September 2014 but she struggled to stay afloat the organization by splitting his first four fight to two wins and two losses.
After losing to Raquel Pennington in September 2015, she picked it up and won four straight matches to earn a title fight against Joanna Jedrzejcyzyk which she lost. She climbed her way back by winning three-straight matches to earn a title shot against Rose Namajunas and won it in the second round via KO. In her first title defense, she was devastated by Weili Zhang in the first round as she got knocked down with knees and punches.
Rose Namajunas
Rose Namajunas is a 28-year-old women’s strawweight fighter that hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The “Thung” is five-foot-five and stables at the 303 Training Center fight team. She now owns an 8-4 professional record with five wins through submissions. Namajunas came to the UFC in December 2014 but she fell to Carla Esparza with a rear-naked choke in the third round. She then went on to win three straight matches before falling to Karolina Kowalkiewicz in UFC 201. After beating Michelle Waterson, she then earned a title shot against Joanna Jedrzejcyzk and won the title. In their rematch, she also prevailed but lost the title to Jessica Andrade in UFC 237 in which she was knocked down in the second round.
