Main Card

Claudia Gadelha

Gadelha is a Brazilan strawweight fighter that hails from Mossoro, Rio Grande Do Norte. She is a 31-year-old fighter that stables out of Lutttrell-Yee MMA and Jackson-Wink MMA. Her UFC career started in 2014 and she is 6-4 under the fight organization. It is an up-and-down career for “Claudinha”  and looks to seal another title shot by beating Grasso in UFC 246.

Her last two wins were all from the judge’s scorecards and her last submission win was dated back in June 2017. Her ability to stay in the octagon and stamina is her best asset that kept her a consistent title contender throughout the years. Against Grasso, Claudia Gadelha will look to bring the fight to the ground as she is well known for her submissions prior to her UFC career.

Alexa Grasso

Grasso is a young Mexican fighter at age 26 and came from Guadalajara, Jalisco. She fights out of Lobo Gym MMA and made her first UFC debut in 2016. Prior to coming to the UFC, she was an undefeated fighter and created waves in Invicta FC. Right now, she is 3-3 on her UFC fight record and looks to bounce back after losing to Carla Esparza on a tight majority decision loss. In her three year career in the UFC, she had scored victories over Heather Clark, Randa Markos and Karolina Kowakiewics.

Her three losses came from Tatiana Suares, Felice Herrig and her recent were against Esparza. She usually brings her fights to the judge’s score cars as most of her fights are won through decisions. Both Grasso and Gadelha are expected to end their matches to the scorecards and that is what is expected for both fighters to finish their fight in UFC 246.

Gadelha vs Grasso Betting Picks

This should be a tough one to call but with Gadelha’s ability to adjust to the UFC and a more veteran fighter, she is picked slightly higher to win this bout according to Best Sports Book. The defense of Grasso will be the puzzle that Gadelha needs to break as her style can favor the judges with her attack and back type of game plan. Grasso should try to score some takedowns and dominate Gadelha on the ground if she wants the judges to see her as the victor again.
