UFC 217 Main Card & Online Betting Odds

The UFC is making its return to Madison Square Garden this weekend. Online UFC betting fans will recall that the last time the promotion held an event in this venue they absolutely blew our minds off with UFC 205. This weekend’s event promises to be a worthy follow up as the UFC has put together 3 title fights and a star studded line up to convince everyone to fork over the cash for the PPV. Let’s run down some of the details of the event before taking a look at the main card and betting on MMA odds.

UFC 217: Bisping vs. St-Pierre – Saturday, November 4th

When: Main Card: 10 pm ET || Prelims: 8 pm ET || Early Prelims: 6:30 pm ET

Where: Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York

TV: Main Card: N/A || Prelims: FS1 || Early Prelims: UFC Fight Pass

Stream: UFC Fight Pass, PPV

The night will be headlined by a championship bout between middleweight champion Michael Bisping and UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre. GSP has been absent from the sport for 4 years this November and some have questioned whether he should be fighting for a belt upon his return. However, when he left, GSP was riding a 12 bout win streak that painted him as one of the best to do it, so the move is more than justifiable. The real question is whether or not GSP will be able to step in and be competitive after such a lengthy break. Judging by the type of martial artists the Canadian is, he should have no difficulty in accomplishing that. However, some online UFC betting fans and sports betting sites claim that GSP stepped away from the game because of the rampancy of steroids. We’ll have to see if this narrative comes up this weekend.

There will also be a bantamweight title match at UFC 217 pitting the current champion, Cody Garbrandt, against his former teammate TJ Dillashaw. Garbrandt has adamantly called TJ every name in the book and few fights bring the bitterness that this title bout does. This will be a bloodbath you do not want to miss.

The final title fight of the night will pit women’s Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk against Rose Namajunas. Namajunas is still a young martial artists who turned to the sport to overcome mental illness. Jedrzejczyk has used this to rip into her opponent, calling her weak-minded. It was a low blow but there’s no question that the Pollack is ruthless.
