Sports Betting Preview of UFC Fight Night 110

Posted by: Charlie Smith

With a new Featherweight Champion sitting on the throne, UFC betting fans are ready to move on from UFC 212’s action. Next up is UFC Fight Night 110, to be held this upcoming weekend. With back-to-back weekends filled with UFC events, this month is turning out to be better than expected for sports betting fans.

UFC Fight Night 110 – Sunday, June 11th

When: Early Prelims 7 pm ET || Prelims 8 pm ET || Main Card 10 pm ET

Where: Spark Arena, Auckland, New Zealand

TV: Early Prelims: UFC Fight Pass || Prelims: FS1 || Main Card: FS1

Stream: UFC TV

This weekend’s event will mark the second the production has hosted in Auckland, with the first being UFC Fight Night 43 back in 2014. The night will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and 2001 K-1 World Grand Prix winner and former interim title contender Mark Hunt.

Early Preliminaries & MMA Sports Odds

JJ Aldrich 2 ½ (+170)           -230 vs. Chan-Mi Jeon 2 ½ (-200)                +190

Dong Hyun Kim 1 ½ (+155) -165 vs. Thibault Gouti 1 ½ (-175)               +145

There’s not too much action for UFC betting fans to tune in for the early preliminaries. This will be Aldrich’s second fight in the UFC, with her first bout resulting in a loss. The MMA sports odds list Aldrich as a heavy favorite over UFC newcomer Chan-Mi Jeon.

Thibault Gouti has his back against the wall as he has lost the last three fights consecutively. A loss against Kim – who enters on a 3-fight win streak, will likely force the UFC to cut Gouti.

Preliminaries & Sports Betting Odds

Damien Brown 2 ½ (+110)   -120 vs. Vinc Pichel   2 ½ (-130)                   EV

Luke Jumeau 2 ½ (+150)      +140 vs. Dominique Steele 2 ½ (-170)          -160

John Moraga 2 ½ (+110)      -160 vs. Ashkan Mokhtarian 2 ½ (-130)      +140

Kiichi Kunimoto 1 ½ (-225)  +275 vs. Zak Ottow 1 ½ (+185)                    -335

There’s a lot more action on the preliminaries for UFC betting fans to tune in for. The biggest fight that pops out is the match between Kiichi Kunimoto and Zak Ottow, due to the lucrative odds posted. Ottow is pegged as a heavy underdog over the Japanese Kunimoto. Both fighters are coming off a loss.

Main Card & UFC Betting Odds

Mark Hunt 1 ½ (-105)           +110 vs. Derrick Lewis 1 ½ (-115)               -130

Derek Brunson 2 ½ (EV)      -270 vs. Daniel Kelly 2½ (-120)                     +230

Dan Hooker 2 ½ (-170)         -160 vs. Ross Pearson 2½ (+150)                  +140

Ion Cutelaba 1 ½ (+160)       -230 vs. Henrique da Silva 1 ½ (-185)          +190

Tim Elliott 2 ½ (+175)           -225 vs. Ben Nguyen             2 ½ (-210)                   +185

Alexander Volkanovski 2 ½ (+155) -320 vs. Mizuto Hirota 2 ½ (-175)     +260

Apart from the fact that he’s headlining the night, Mark Hunt is also making UFC headlines for his current lawsuit against the UFC. It’s not every day that the promotion has to promote a fighter who is currently involved in litigation against them, and it’s all anyone can talk about. Hunt can certainly pull some fans to his side by delivering another walk off knockout this weekend.
