Ricky Simon is a young 27-year-old fighter that comes from Vancouver, Washington and stables at the Gracie Barra Portland. He stands at five-foot-six and weighs in at 135 lbs. Simon currently owns a 15-3 professional MMA record. Simon came into the UFC with a 12-1 record in April 2018 in UFC Fight Night 128. He battled Merab Dvalishvili and made him submit in the last second of the third round via Guillotine Choke. He went on to win his next two bouts and had a three-fight winning streak defeating Rani Yahya and Montel Jackson. Coming into this fight against Borg, he lost his last two fights. The first loss was to Urijah Faber via TKO in the first round in July 2019. His last fight was in December 2019 where he lost to Rob Font via unanimous decision.
