Online UFC Betting’s Summer Kickoff Press Conference Recap

A few days ago, the UFC held their Summer Kickoff Press Conference to announce the events the promotion will be holding in the coming months. For those who missed out on it, it was perhaps one of the wildest press conferences the UFC has ever put together. In fact, it didn’t take long for 2017’s Summer Kickoff Press Conference to set some new standards for what a scuffle at a press conference should look like.

Latest Online UFC Betting News & Previews

Before this year’s Summer Kickoff, Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor held the online UFC betting title for most disruptive press conference. Before their second fight, McGregor and Diaz got into a scrum in front of the media that resulted in the Irishman tossing water bottles and Monster energy drinks to Diaz, who was on his way out of the press conference. McGregor ended up getting fined for his behavior, and the UFC implemented a new policy to have the energy drinks drained before the events. This is because an empty can is much less harmless than a full, unopened one and let’s be honest, no one was going to drink them either way. This interaction had marked the most problematic interaction at a press conference, until Jon Jones had some choice words for Daniel Cormier.

DC vs. Jon Jones 2

Out of all the fights the UFC announced at the press conference, the biggest of them all has to be the rematch between Daniel Cormier, the current light heavyweight champion, and Jon Jones, the former champion who never lost his title.

For those out of the loop, Jones had some problems outside of the cage that ended up costing him a suspension. This culminated in a hit-and-run in which Jones hit a pregnant women’s car and proceeded to flee the scene. This forced the UFC to strip him of the title and subsequently suspend Jones.

Nevertheless, Jones is perhaps the most dynamic fighter the UFC has ever seen. He is a cold-blooded killer, and he owns a win over DC. Naturally, this gives Jones ample room to talk down to Cormier, since Cormier never actually beat Jones.

Before the press event started, Jones and Cormier began to exchange words. Jones went on to tell DC that his belt was a fake, and asked how he would be able to explain to his children how he never beat Jon Bones Jones. This enraged Cormier, who proceeded to throw a water bottle at Jones. The two continued to bicker during the event, but the fact that they threw water bottles before the thing even kicked off tops the McGregor-Diaz scuffle.

In addition to Cormier vs. Jones 2, the UFC also announced some pretty spectacular bouts. The following are the cream of the crop.
