Online UFC Betting Preview for 209 Undercard

The online UFC betting community has been taken for a bit of a rollercoaster thanks to the media hyping up a potential boxing match, but this upcoming weekend, sportsbook players will be treated to one of the greatest MMA events of the year.

UFC 209 is the promotional company’s forthcoming event scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, marking the 4th time the UFC has decided to host an event in this venue. The night will be headlined by a rematch between current welterweight champion Tyron ‘The Chosen One’ and his challenger, five-time kickboxing world champion, Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.

We’ve already taken a look at the odds both fighters face in their title fight, as well as the odds for the co-headlining match between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov, so let’s take a look at what the UFC has in store for those who bet on MMA with 209’s undercard.

ONLINE UFC BETTING ODDS – UFC 209 – UNDER CARD – Saturday, March 4th

Marcin Tybura 2 ½ (-135)       -155 vs. Luis Henrique 2 ½ (+115)     +135

Mirsad Bektic 1 ½ (+220)       -630 vs. Darren Elkins 1 ½ (-260)       +465

luri Alcantara 2 ½ (-160)         -110 vs. Luke Sanders 2 ½ (+140)      -110

Mark Godbeer 1 ½ (-165)       -145 vs. Daniel Spitz   1 ½ (+145)      +125

Tyson Pedro 1 ½ (+160)         -115 vs. Paul Craig1 ½ (-185)             -105

Amanda Cooper 2 ½ (-265)    -110 vs. Cynthia Calvillo 2 ½ (+225) -110

Albert Morales 1 ½ (-170)      -135 vs. Andre Soukhamthath 1 ½ (+150)     +115

As usual, the undercard is littered with fresh faces, and a spectrum of sportsbook odds. The odds have most-heavily favored Mirsad Bektic, a Bosnian-American fighting out of Lincoln, Nebraska, in his matchup against US based Darren Elkins. Elkins is a seasoned MMA veteran with a 21-5 record and has a long history of fighting in the UFC. On the other hand, Bektic comes into this bout sporting an unblemished 11-0 record that includes 4 UFC fights.

Another interesting fight of the night involves UFC newcomer Mark Godbeer who will be looking to avenge his loss to Justin Ledet at UFC Fight Night 99. The sportsbooks are painting Godbeer as a favorite over Daniel Spitz, who wields a 5-0 MMA record but has never fought within the UFC. Apart from an interesting combination of surnames, this match should prove interesting on its own merit.

Other news regarding 209 involves the ongoing litigation involving Mark Hunt, who will be facing Alistair Overeem in a heated bout this upcoming weekend, the UFC, Dana White, and former MMA fighter Brock Lesnar. As most online UFC betting fans know, Hunt sued the UFC and Lesnar claiming racketeering, fraud, negligence and breach of contract. Tuesday, the legal representatives of the UFC and White filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, which was expected. The court will now have to decide what claims will be thrown out and what will remain.
