Fight Night 133 Looks to Deliver MMA Betting Thrills

While every online MMA betting fan in the world is trying to stay up to date with the McGregor-Mayweather press conferences, this weekend’s UFC event will give bettors the perfect opportunity to get back into the octagon.

UFC Fight Night 113 will be held this upcoming Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland. This event will mark the second the promotion has held in Glasgow, following Fight Night 72 way back in 2015.

UFC Fight Night 113: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio – Sunday, July 16th

When: Early Prelims: 12 pm ET || Prelims: 1 pm ET || Main Card 3 pm ET

Where: The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland

TV: Early Prelims: UFC Fight Pass || Prelims: FS1 || Main Card: FS1

Stream: UFC Fight Pass

The event may not have the largest star power of a UFC event, but it will provide a nice filler during a time that is noticeably absent from any thrilling sporting events. That is until UFC 214 rolls around in late July.

The night will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio.

Nelson enters this bout with a professional record of 16-2. Nelson last fought at UFC Fight Night 107, where he defeated Alan Jouban via submission (Guillotine Choke) 46 seconds into the second round. That victory marked Nelson’s second consecutive win and the online MMA betting favorite will be looking to extend that streak this upcoming Sunday.  Over three-quarters of Nelson’s finishes have come via submission, so fans can expect the Icelandic to work his ground game early.

Ponzinibbio comes into this fight with a 24-3 professional record. The Argentinean fighter last stepped inside the octagon at UFC Fight Night 105, where he defeated Nordine Taleb via decision. That decision-win marks the Gente Boa’s 4th straight win, stemming all the way back to a win he earned in 2015. Players who bet on UFC will have to decide if Nelson can hand ‘Ponzi’ his first loss in two years.
