After witnessing what many in the online UFC betting community perceived to be a thrown fight, those who bet on MMA are looking for the next big event to get the bad taste that Cormier vs. Johnson 2 left in players’ mouth. UFC 211 is still about a month away, so in the meantime sportstbooks fans will have to get their fix from tuning into this weekend’s upcoming event, UFC Fight Night 108: Swanson vs. Lobov.

UFC Fight Night 108 will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, marking the 5th event the promotion has held in Tennessee. As is all too common in the UFC, there were several fighters who were supposed to compete at 108 but will no longer be able to. Most notably, a welterweight fight between former UFC Middleweight Championship challenger Demian Maia and Jorge Masvidal, an MMA veteran, had to be rescheduled to UFC 211 for undisclosed reasons.

The night will be headlined by a featherweight bout between Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov. Swanson is a 33-year MMA veteran who holds a professional record of 24-7. Swanson last stepped into the octagon at UFC 206 where he delivered a masterful defeat of Doo Ho Choi. Those who tuned in for that bout were treated to one of the wildest fights of 2016 and Swanson shouldn’t disappoint this upcoming weekend. Swanson opens as the heavy MMA betting favorite over Artem Lobov.
Lobov has a little less experience, comes into this fight at 30-years of age, and sports a professional record of 13-12. Nicknamed ‘The Russian Hammer’, Lobov has been out of the cage since last November when he faced Teruto Ishihara at UFC Fight Night 99. Lobov won that fight via decision.
