Posted by: Mike Davis

The hype keeps building for this weekend’s online UFC betting event. From the intense bitterness between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, to the mutual respect between Tyron Woodley and Demian Maia, there is something for everyone to look forward to this Saturday. UFC 214 is without a doubt one of the best cards the promotion has ever put forth.

UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 – Saturday, July 29th

When: Early Prelims: 6:30 pm ET || Prelims: 8 pm ET || Main Card: 10 pm ET

Where: Honda Center, Anaheim, California

TV: Early Prelims: UFC Fight Pass || Prelims: FXX || Main Card: PPV

Stream: UFC TV

The main card is stacked in every definition of the word. With three title fights, and two bouts between fan favorites, this event should put up some of the highest PPV view numbers the UFC has ever seen. Let’s break down each fight on the main card for players who bet on MMA.

Daniel Cormier 4 ½ (-165) +230 vs. Jon Jones 4 ½ (+145)    -270

The fight we’ve all been waiting to see for much longer than anyone of us would’ve liked. From out-of-the-cage issues, to doping violations and even injuries, this fight has been rescheduled way too many times.

But the added time has given the bad blood between these two time to boil and it’s all heading towards a violent conclusion this Saturday. Both fighters look the best they’ve ever looked in their careers, which plays perfectly for online UFC betting fans.

The official weigh-ins were held Friday morning and both fighters passed with flying colors. Bettors can catch the weigh-ins down below.

Open workouts were held this past Thursday, giving the most avid fans a window into how these fighters currently look. DC put on a show for his fans, displaying some supreme striking. Jones elected not to workout in order to add a layer of mystery to his current arsenal. However, the fan favorite took the time to go around the room to shake hands and meet his fans.

Tyron Woodley 2 ½ (-130) -210 vs. Demian Maia 2 ½ (+110)       +175

Demian Maia is unlike any other fighter in the UFC. While most fighters train to bring balance to their styles, Maia is aiming to become the best jiu-jitsu specialist the UFC has ever seen and its given way to some devastatingly brutal results.

However, Tyron Woodley is like no other online UFC betting opponent Maia has ever faced. Woodley is the complete package, with his striking and wrestling abilities being the most dominant. Woodley is extremely strong and his explosiveness makes him even more dangerous. Needless to say, Maia cannot afford to make any mistakes. It’s hard to imagine the Brazilian successfully taken Woodley down without making any however.

Cris Cyborg 1 ½ (-250)      -1375 vs. Tonya Evinger 1 ½ (+210)   +900

The reason women’s MMA has taken off the way it has is because of the intense ferocity of the females that take up the sport. Cris Cyborg and Tonya Evinger are clear examples of that.

Cyborg hasn’t suffered defeat in 12 years and comes into this fight sporting a 17-1 MMA record. Cyborg has won over her fans with a ferocity that is unmatched by even the men in the promotion and bettors can expect just that this Saturday. The sportsbook odds aren’t giving Cyborg’s opponent much of a chance.

However, Tonya Evinger is not the type of person you want to take lightly. A well-rounded fighter that excels in providing constant pressure, Evinger is one of the toughest challenges Cyborg has ever faced. Evinger is an Invicta FC world Champion and hasn’t lost a fight in 6 years.

Donald Cerrone 2 ½ (-105) +135 vs. Robbie Lawler 2 ½ (-115)    -155

This matchup is a fight fans dream come true: two fighters who aren’t afraid to give it their all. Lawler and Cerrone are two of the baddest men in the UFC and bettors can expect absolute war this Saturday. Although there isn’t any bad blood between the two, this fight might as well be to the death.

Jimi Manuwa 1½ (-160)    -180 vs. Volkan Oezdemir 1 ½ (+140) +158

Jimi Manuwa has been gaining notoriety lately and Oezdemir is his next shot at gaining even more glory. Manuwa is on a 2-fight win streak and will be looking to add another couple of fights on his way to a title shot.
