Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Women's Tennis' Top 3 Listed in Stuttgart WTA Event

The top three of women’s tennis are listed as preliminary entries. This will be for the Women’s Tennis Association-sanctioned Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in the German city of Stuttgart. Organizers of this WTA 500 tournament have confirmed this. World number one and former French Open winner Ashleigh Barty, second-ranked and four-time Grand Slam singles champion Naomi Osaka and world number three and two-time Grand Slam titlist Simona Halep will headline the claycourt event slated on April 17-25. The prestigious net fest will usher in top-class claycourt action which would also mean the return of this favorite bet on sports website two months after the Australian Open.

Stuttgard WTA Event: Prelude to French Open

The WTA 500 tournament is among the major events of the European clay season. The said event will end in the May 23-June 5 French Open. Barty will make her debut in Stuttgart. As for Osaka and Halep, they will look to earn their first title in the tournament.  The Australian expressed excitement over the prospect of joining the event, as she will use this tournament as preparation for the so-called European clay swing that normally occurs from April to June. Naomi Osaka, on the other hand, will aim for her first Stuttgart WTA event title after several tries. The Japanese tennis sensation was recently crowned as the Australian Open women’s singles titlist. She reached the semifinals of the event. On the other hand, Halep also wants to eclipse her two semifinal stints (2015 and 2017) in this event. It will kickstart her assault for the French Open.

Other Entries

Aside from Osaka, Halep, and Barty, other world-class netters will join the tournament. The organizers’ preliminary list includes former tournament winners Petra Kvitova, who won the 2019 edition of the event; 2018 winner Karolina Pliskova and two-time champ Angelique Kerber (2015 and 2016). Pliskova and Kerber have also held the world number one title in the WTA rankings. Also taking part in the tennis competition are Viktoria Azarenka of Belarus and Garbiñe Muguruza of Spain. The event is also voted by players as the most popular tournament in the world. Tournament director Markus Guendhardt regards highly the preliminary entry list. The list alone shows how the top-caliber women’s netters highly regard this tournament. He expects more stars to sign up and compete for the event.

Excitement on Clay

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart promises to be a slam-bang event. It consists of the top female netters in the WTA circuit that are competing. It is just the preliminary list but it shows a lot of prestige due to the commitment of world-class tennis players in joining the event. The entry of most of the top seeds in women’s tennis is enough to bring excitement among the tennis-betting public who are seeking enjoyment plus extra money. The event is expected to rake in more bettors in the coming weeks due to the fever-pitched hype that these female netters would bring.

Way too early tennis betting odds picks and predictions favor the big three of women’s tennis – Barty, Osaka, and Halep – to make waves in the event and eventually emerge as the last women standing at the end of the tennis tournament. However, there are veteran stars in the mix who are capable of pulling off surprises in the event due to their vast experience and familiarity on the surface.
