On the other hand, since Orlando City SC is the underdog, taking them straight up is more alluring. Simply put, a $100 winning bet on Orlando City SC would net you $428 (the original $100 + the $328 in winnings). Similarly, a $100 winning bet on the draw would net you $456.

Betting Soccer Spread

The soccer betting spread is a popular option due to how it operates. Instead of betting on one team to win, you are betting on a team to cover the spread. So how does a team cover the spread? In the above example we can see that the spread is set at ½ a point. Normally to cover the spread a team needs to beat the other team by that amount. Betting on the TOTALs line is a bet on how many points will be scored in total in a given matchup. The line above is set at 3.
