Premier League Odds Today Explain Why Arsenal Pass Up On Teen Sensation

Arsenal F.C. is not solely focused on their immediate player needs but also their investment in the future. Like other clubs, they too are trying to sign young and promising players. One of them is Joelson Fernandes who seemed primed to head to Emirates Stadium. He is seen as another key seed for the Gunners’ future but it appears all plans involving the 17-year-old have gone up in smoke. Premier League odds today on that were tied to the financial crisis hitting clubs. The Gunners do not have the luxury of spending that much, meaning their chase will have to resume some other day. This is assuming that Fernandes is still available and affordable.
Before reports that Arsenal was shelving its plans for Fernandes, the wonder kid appeared set to move to Emirates Stadium. Sporting CP dropped him from their clash with Benfica Saturday night. The belief then was that he would be likely moving out with Arsenal officials flying in to discuss a deal. With all that fizzling, Fernandes is expected to get a new deal from Sporting Lisbon. Aside from that, his release clause is expected to balloon. The original release clause for Fernandes was $57 million. Once a new deal is in place, that is expected to double.
Premier League odds today on Fernandes no longer feasible
Joelson Fernandes has been gaining attention for his stellar showing. He has started in every league match since the football restart and has been compared to several football greats. That list includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Quaresma and Nani.
Arsenal could revisit a deal for Fernandes in the future although it may not be as easy. There are other clubs interested in the 17-year-old player. Among those who have expressed interest include Barcelona. Though they could easily cash in now, Barca is also in a tight spot. They too are dealing with financial issues and need to pay attention to their current lineup. Hence, they too could revisit a Fernandes deal in the future.
As for Arsenal, they have their share of manpower problems right now. At the top of the list is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Though Gunners management has already come up with a deal that the Gabon player is demanding, it may have come a bit too late. Barca is reportedly interested in the 31-year-old player. Aubameyang wants to see what offer they have in mind before deciding on where to play next season. Blaugrana is looking at other options with their chances on Lautaro Martinez not looking that well.
Aside from Aubameyang. Gunners coach Mikel Arteta also needs to deal with Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi. Both players are believed to be at odds with Arteta due to attitude problems. Ozil has been hit for his laid-back attitude that is not in line with the system of the Gunners coach.
For Guendouzi, it appears the French player has no plans to mend his ways and re-align with Arteta. He has informed Arsenal management that he plans to move out at the season’s end. Should the two players continue their course, Arteta will need to find replacements but on a budget.
