Online Soccer Betting Recaps CONCACAF Gold Cup

Friday’s action featured a devastating 3-0 Costa Rica win over French Guiana and a less than eventful 0-0 finish to the contest between Canada and Honduras. Accounting for the previous results in Group A, Costa Rica, Canada and Honduras were all able to advance to the quarterfinals.

Saturday’s results turned out to be equally as thrilling. Panama delivered a 3-0 stunner to Martinique early in the day, followed by the US pillaging Nicaragua for 3 goals as well. Nicaragua was shutout in that contest. Once the dust settled on Group B’s group stage, USA and Panama were both able to advance.

Sunday would determine which teams from Group C would advance. The first contest of the day ended in a 1-1 tie as neither Jamaica nor El Salvador were able to one up each other. Afterwards, Mexico delivered a decisive 2-0 performance over Curacao. Accounting for these online soccer betting results, Mexico, El Salvador, and Jamaica were all able to advance past this group.

Wednesday will bring the first contests of the quarterfinals round. Let’s take a look at what sportsbooks are predicting.

Costa Rica once again enters as the online soccer betting favorite and will have to face off against their southern border neighbor Panama. Both teams are considered to be contenders for Russia 2018.

Costa Rica has been spreading the love around as far as goal scoring goes, and they’ll need a team effort if they’re to overcome Panama. Johan Venegas, Minnesota’s attacker, along with Joel Campbell, Cristian Gamboa and Bryan Oviedo will all be absent due to injury. Christian Bolanos, who plays for Vancouver, was expected to heed the call but apparently the club asked that he stays with the club as he recovers from a shoulder injury.
