Group C Betting Preview & odds

Most top sportsbook players are currently focused on March Madness betting. However, almost all online soccer betting players will be focusing in on the 2018 World Cup. Set to be held in Russia, this year’s tournament brings us another round of the international thrill that is FIFA’s best event. We’ve taken a group stage betting look at Group A as well as an early group stage betting preview of Group. In other words, it’s time to now size up Group C betting options.

Group C Betting Preview

Notwithstanding their disheartening home loss at Euro 2016, the Frenchmen will enter this year’s World Cup as one of the few favorites. Despite only scoring 18 points in qualification, France was still able to beat out both Holland and Sweden. With a handful of elite offenders to choose from, and some solid defenders to back them up, France is a contender not to be taken lightly. However, Hugo Lloris, the team’s keeper, might be considered a severe disadvantage. While he is capable of making a number of saves, he is prone to making costly mistakes. Nevertheless, the online soccer betting odds still like Frances’ chances.

Key Players: Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid) & Paul Pogba (Man U)

This year’s entry marks the 5th time in the country’s history Australia has graced the World Cup. But judging by how much the Socceroos struggled back in 2014, there won’t be too many online soccer betting players backing them this time around. Granted, neither Holland, Chile, nor Spain are in this group. But still, sportsbook players don’t often forget. Tim Cahill was the man leading the Aussies to this round of the tournament. Longtime online soccer betting fans will certainly recognize Cahill, who is one of the oldest athletes competing.

Key Players: Mile Jedinak (Aston Villa), Tim Cahill (unattached) & Aaron Mooy (Huddersfield)

Peru punched their ticket to the 2018 World Cup by triumphing over New Zealand in the qualifiers. Integral to that success was Paolo Guerrero, who scored the equalizer versus Colombia that would ensure Peru’s qualification. Interestingly enough, that same match pitting Peru against Colombia was seen as highly controversial. Heading into the game, both sides knew that a 1-1 draw would let both teams qualify for the World Cup. There’s certainly a case to be made there but what good will it do now?

Key Players: Paolo Guerrero (Flamengo), Andre Carrillo (Watford) & Jefferson Farfan (Lokomotiv Moscow)

Denmark knew they would be competing in this year’s World Cup after they defeated Ireland in the running up. Without a doubt, Christian Eriksen played the most important role in their qualification. Eriksen was responsible for a whopping 8 goals through just 10 matches. Needless to say, the country will be turning to their star once more once the tourney kicks off. Sportsbook players looking for parlay betting tips should consider backing Denmark.

Key Players: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham), Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City) & Nicklas Bendtner (Rosenborg)
