Group H Betting Preview & Online Soccer Betting Analysis
Although they’re known to thrive in the qualifying matches, Poland has a hard time following up that early on success in the actual tournament. We saw something similar this time around, unsurprisingly. The success was harpooned by Robert Lewandowski, who scored 16 goals for Poland in qualifiers. Subsequently, this made him the highest scoring player during that stretch. The Bayern Munich striker is one of the best in the position and should be watched carefully during the tournament. Thanks to Lewandowski’s efforts, the Polies won 8 out of their 10 qualifying matches and scored a whopping 28 goals in doing so. All in all, Poland is filled with players who compete in Europe’s top leagues. However, this is no guarantee that they make it out of here.
Players to Watch: Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Wojciech Szczesny (Juventus) and Arkadiusz Milik (Napoli).
The Senegalese had an easy time qualifying, as they won 4 of their 6 matchups. And in the other two, the country drew against their opponents. All in all, Senegal offers a good mix of young talent contrasted against some notable veterans. Most notable amongst these is Monaco’s own Keita Balde Diao. It should be mentioned that Senegal’s run up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup was somewhat mired in controversy. Facing South Africa, the ref awarded South Africa a penalty for a handball that never occurred. South Africa won that matchup 2-1 but Senegal won the replay 2-0. The fact that Senegal was able to overcome that adversity has many bettors pegging them as Group H betting favorites. Although the sports parlay odds aren’t as certain.
Players to Watch: Sadio Mane (Liverpool), Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), and Keita Balde Diao (Monaco).
It comes as no surprise to see the online soccer betting odds favor Colombia, considering what they bring to the table. Not only do they have one of the most notable scorers in the game, they also bring a great deal of young defenders along. This of course refers to Tottenham’s young centre back Davison Sanchez and Barcelona’s own Yerry Mina – who they recruited back in January. Colombia is without a doubt one of the safest Group H betting predictions you could make.
Players to Watch: James Rodriguez (Bayern Munich), Radamel Falcao (Monaco), and Carlos Sanchez (Fiorentina).
The most notable aspect of the Japanese’s run to the 2018 World Cup is their defense. Throughout the qualifying matches, Japan only allowed 7 goals. Additionally, they handed in 4 clean sheets off of 10 matches. Leading the defensive front is goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima who has proven himself time and time again.
Players to Watch: Shinji Okazaki (Leicester City), Takuma Asano (Stuttgart), and Genki Haraguchi (Fortuna Dusseldorf).
