Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights continue to reign supreme over the West, and it does not look like they are slowing down anytime soon. The team has made it six in a row after they swept the San Jose Sharks via a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. Prior to that two-day series, Vegas had already claimed the scalp of the team they are about to face on Monday and Thursday. It was a tale of two separate affairs when they hosted the Wild to begin the new month: the first one being a tight contest and the second being a lopsided battle. But regardless of how it went, the imprint that the Golden Knights created could not be left unnoticed. Riding on a crippling surge, Vegas looks poised to defeat Minnesota again.

Players to watch: M. Stone RW (G 6, A 21, PTS 27), M. Pacioretty LW (G 12, A 9, PTS 21), A. Tuch RW (G 12, A 7, PTS 19).

Minnesota Wild

An extended homestand is such a welcome development for Minnesota Wild as the team seeks to gain more cushion above the playoff line in the West. After throwing a haymaker to end February, the Wild suddenly hit a snag and lost three of their first four games in March. Interestingly, it was the Golden Knights who first served the bitter pill that put an end to Minnesota’s previous winning surge. It happened on the first day of the month in the match marked by a late-game meltdown that saw the Wild squander a two-goal edge in the third before eventually losing, 5-4, in OT.  Two days later, the teams met again and the Golden Knights simply imposed their will en route to a convincing win. But now that a new series heads over to Saint Paul, the Wild is hoping for a complete reverse of fate. Anticipating a favorable result is one thing, making it happen is another. In order to achieve their goal, Minnesota will have to address several holes in their game, more particularly their struggles in a power play.

Players to watch: K. Kaprizov LW (G 6, A 13, PTS 19), J. Greenway LW (G 5, A 13, PTS 18), M. Foligno LW (G 7, A 7, PTS 14).

Golden Knights vs Wild Betting Picks

Standing in front of a scheduled homestand, the Wild seem to get a shot in the arm as they brace for battle against the West-leading Golden Knights. The eagerness to avenge their last two-game defeat against Vegas, however, won’t materialize into an actual result. The visitors will be out to spoil the Wild’s home party on Monday by pulling off yet another statement victory. With the load distributed among the team’s versatile players, expect the Golden Knights to not disappoint the odds set by the best bookmaker as their seventh straight victory is presumably in the bag.

Score Prediction: Golden Knights 5, Wild 2.
