Rangers-Senators Set for Online NHL Betting Showdown

The second round of the online NHL betting playoffs is living up to all of our expectations. Monday night, players who bet on NHL playoffs were treated to a bit of a blowout on behalf of the Washington Capitals. The Capitals are currently engaged in a fierce series with the reigning Stanley Cup Champions. Heading into yesterday’s contest, the Penguins owned a 3-2 lead. Although they were looking to keep the Caps from gaining any sort of momentum, with a 5-2 blowout, momentum isn’t the only thing Washington gained in last night’s contest. Heading into Game 7, it’s clear that the tables have turned in Washington’s favor. We’ll have to wait to see how this series unfolds, but until then players can keep themselves occupied by betting on Tuesday’s action.

Latest Online NHL Betting News & Predictions

Tuesday evening, online NHL betting players can wager on the series between the Ottawa Senators and the New York Rangers. They’ll be playing their Game 6 contest, so fans can expect both teams to give it their absolute all. After winning the first two games, the Senators let the Rangers climb back into the mix of things by dropping back-to-back losses. However, a win in Game 5 assured that it would be the Rangers who are staring elimination in the face in Game 6.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators had high hopes for this year’s postseason, and it’s a bit surprising to see the Senators in the second round. Ottawa turned in a 44-28-10 record for the regular season that gave way to a 2nd place finish in the Atlantic Division and a 6th place finish in the Eastern Conference.

The Senators faced the Boston Bruins in the opening round of this year’s postseason. Although the Bruins had a fairly better regular season performance, the Senators were able to advance past Boston in 6 games.

New York Rangers

The Rangers turned in a moderately successful season that saw the franchise go 48-28-6. That record paved the way to a 4th place finish in the Metropolitan Division as well as a 5th place finish in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers have been in the playoffs for the last 7 years running, and are 4-years removed from a Stanley Cup championship series appearance.

New York faced the Montreal Canadiens to kick off this year’s postseason. The Rangers suffered back-to-back losses in that series, but performed greatly overall and were able to advance past Montreal in 4 games.
