Posted by: Charlie Smith

The 2017 NHL hockey betting season continues this week and this Friday, NHL betting players will have the opportunity to wager and tune in for a total of 2 different matchups. First up is the late-night contest pitting the New Jersey Devils against the Edmonton Oilers followed by a West Coast matchup between the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks. Let’s take a look at what kind of odds the Ducks are facing this evening on their home court.

Nashville Predators vs. Anaheim Ducks – Friday, November 3rd

Where: Honda Center, Anaheim, California

TV: Local Broadcasts

NHL Hockey Betting Odds:

Nashville Predators +1 ½ (-310)       5 ½ (+105)      -110

Anaheim Ducks         -1 ½ (+255)     5 ½ (-125)       -110

Nashville Predators

The Predators ride into this Friday night matchup sporting a 5-5-2 record that ranks Nashville 6th in the Central Division, thanks to the 12 points the franchise has acquired on the year. That 12 point tally ranks the Preds last in the division, alongside the Minnesota Wild. Coming off a year in which they made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals, it’s safe to say that Nashville hasn’t quite found the NHL hockey betting success that they were hoping for in 2017. The Preds enter Friday night’s contest riding a 2-game losing streak that includes their most recent 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on the road. The Preds will be looking to snap that streak this evening and it looks like sports betting sites are giving them pretty good odds of getting the job done.

The Preds will be hoping for a strong performance from Filip Forsberg, who leads the team in points with an impressive 13 tally mark so far this season. Forsberg also leads the club in goals with 8 on the year. Forsberg is often scoring off a pass from PK Subban, one of Nashville’s biggest stars and the man leading the club in assists.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks come into this evening’s contest with a 6-5-1 record that ranks them 6th in the Pacific Division, due to the 13 points Anaheim has racked up on the year. With 13 points on the season, Anaheim is 6 points ahead of the 7th place Edmonton Oilers and 8 points behind the division leading Los Angeles kings. Like the Preds, the Ducks are also coming off a playoff season that saw them make it all the way to the Western Conference Finals. However, once there, the Nashville Predators dismissed them in 6 games. This evening, the Ducks will have an opportunity to avenge last season’s playoff loss to Nashville. The Ducks are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs this past Wednesday night.

To help avenge last year’s playoff loss, the Ducks will be turning to Andrew Cogliano, the team’s leading points-scorer. Cogliano has scored 3 goals this season and connected on 6 assists, making him the Ducks’ leading assist man as well. Look for Cogliano to connect with Rickard Rakell this evening who has 5 goals on the year.
