Nashville Predators

Nashville Predators bounced back big in Game 2 to avoid being buried into a 0-2 hole. Goalie Juuse Saros redeemed himself after a forgettable Game 1 where he made his first career playoff start. The Finnish goaltender made up for his slow start in the first game as he shut out the Coyotes until the final minute of Game 2 en route to a 4-2 statement win to put the series back to square one. After gaining the much-needed morale boost, Saros said he’ll be ready to start again and help Nashville move to a win away from entering the next round.

Players to watch: Roman Josi (GP 69, G 16, A 49, PTS 65), Filip Forsberg (GP 63, G 21, A 27, PTS 48), Matt Duchene (GP 66, G 13, A 29, PTS 42).

Arizona Coyotes

Arizona failed to capitalize on the chance to move on the verge of entering the first round of Stanley Cup playoffs. The Coyotes were almost shut out by Nashville’s defense if not for Clayton Keller and Lawson Crouse, who each scored a goal during the final minute of Game 2 to give Arizona a slight boost heading to Wednesday’s clash. One concern for the team, however, is the goalie spot for coach John Hynes. According to a report, Darcy Kuemper might delay his overdue rest as Hynes is expected to tap him to man the middle of the pipes for Game 3 anew after backup goalie Antti Raanta was deemed unfit to play during the second period of Game 2  and could be out for Wednesday.

Players to watch: Clayton Keller (GP 70, G 17, A 27, PTS 44), Carl Soderberg (GP 70, G 17, A 18, PTS 35), Nick Schmaltz (GP 70, G 11, A 34, PTS 45).
