This Wednesday, the NHL will hold an expansion draft to welcome the newest addition to the league. The Las Vegas Golden Knights are ready to join the National Hockey League and will compete as the 15th team in the Western Conference and 8th in the Pacific. Additionally, any player who has a ‘No Movement’ clause that is active and binding at the time of the draft will be exempt from selection and will count towards that club’s applicable protection limit. However, players can waive that clause and open themselves up for electability.
All 1st and 2nd year players will be excused from the draft and will not count towards each teams applicable protection limit.
