Buffalo Sabres vs New York Rangers 03-22-2021 Spread Game Analysis and Tips

Buffalo Sabres vs New York Rangers 03/22/2021 – A battle of struggling teams in the East ensues as the New York Rangers host the Buffalo Sabres on Monday at the Madison Square Garden. The home team is coming off an impressive 3-1 victory over the Washington Capitals but the team remains at the bottom three of the division standings with 13 wins and 30 points in 30 games played into the season. It’s a tough position to be in with the second half of the regular season already underway, but the Rangers’ record is far better than that of the Sabres, who are still dead last in the league race with just six wins in 29 games. Top gambling sites are offering New York at -223 as heavy favorites to win this match; Buffalo is tasked to defy a +199 money line. The game will be available live on MSGB at 07:00 PM Eastern Time with simulcast streaming on NHL.TV.

Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres could not break the spell. Their 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins marked the 13th straight loss that buried them deeper at the bottom of the standings. The team is still in search of answers to their horrendous season. One major change that was already brought to action was the firing of Ralph Krueger as head coach of the squad. Don Granato took the vacant spot on an interim basis, but it appears that solving the team’s problem requires more than just a coaching change. A major overhaul is necessary in order for them to regain the identity of being a contender. It’s almost close to impossible that Buffalo could turn things around and change its fate in the second half of the season. But for the sake of having a respectable exit, the Sabres are still expected to show up and bring their 100% in their remaining games.

Players to watch: B. Marchand C (G 12, A 22, PTS 34), D. Pastrnak RW (G 14, A 12, PTS 26), P. Bergeron C (G 10, A 15, PTS 25).

New York Rangers

The Rangers may be outside of the playoff line right now, but that does not mean they are already out of contention. After alternating wins and losses in their last five games, New York will be aiming to seize its first win streak when they take on the reeling Sabres at MSG. It’s a one-night home ice opportunity that the team must take advantage. With still six points separating them and the final playoff spot, the Sabres would definitely exploit the chance of bringing themselves closer by taking the easy task of defeating the worst team in the NHL. Their push to make it to the postseason has just gotten a major boost with Mika Zibanejad slowly rediscovering his lethal form after a slow start of the season. After a series of setbacks, including a COVID-19 battle, Zibanejad is now starting to make some noise to the delight of the rest of the Rangers. The team expects him to sustain his exploits on Monday night with the rest vowing to provide support to ensure the victory.

Players to watch: P. Buchnevich RW (G 10, A 17, PTS 28), A. Panarin LW (G 8, A 17, PTS 25), R. Strome C (G 10, A 14, PTS 24).

Sabres vs Rangers Betting Picks

The Rangers will win and there will be no doubt about it. Wth Mika Zibanejad nearly back at his ultimate form, the chance for the Sabres to even make the match up interesting is already thrown out of the window even before the puck is dropped. Backing Buffalo at value prices in the NHL Betting Odds market is not an option worth taking. The Rangers will impose their dominance as the Sabres are set to be sent to their 14th straight defeat.

Score Prediction: Sabres 1, Rangers 6.
