Boston Bruins

Consistency has been an issue for the Boston Bruins since the second week of the last month when they started to alternate wins and losses. It’s a tough stretch especially for a team whose spot in the playoffs remains on the bubble. On Monday, Boston came close to breaking the trend, only to be stopped by the Flyers in OT inside their home ice. The loss allowed Philly to inch closer to them in the fourth and final postseason spot in the standings, with the gap now decreased to three points, 44-41. They obviously blew the chance to take down one of their campaign threats at the TD Garden. But revenge could be around the corner as in just 24 hour time, the Bruins will now be the ones looking to spoil the Flyers’ home-ice advantage.

Players to watch: B. Marchand C (G 17 A 24 PTS 41), D. Pastrnak RW (G 16 A 14 PTS 30), P. Bergeron C (G 11 A 18 PTS 29)

Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers stole one on the road against the Bruins and the win sets them up for an ideal two-game sweep of the back-to-back faceoff when they return to Philly just a night after. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone for the Flyers as not only did they notch a huge victory on the road, but it likewise came at the expense of the team they are chasing in the East division race.  But looking at the picture, the Flyers are no better than the Bruins in terms of consistency over the last couple of games. In their last 10 games, Philly and Boston registered 4-4-2 and 5-3-2, respectively. The momentum is definitely on the Flyers’ side on Tuesday, but the bounce-back genes of the Bruins are also expected to become a factor in the game.

Players to watch: J. van Riemsdyk LW (G 13 A 18 PTS 31), C. Giroux C (G 11 A 18 PTS 29), J. Voracek RW (G 5 A 24 PTS 29).

Bruins vs Flyers Betting Picks

The Flyers will seize back-to-back wins. Place your NHL Odds and Predictions bet on Philly for Tuesday’s rematch at the Wells Fargo Center as the Bruins are about to suffer their first losing skid in a long while. Momentum is complemented by a home-ice advantage that will put the hosts at the helm of the match. They are expected to control the game from start to finish, which would buck any potential rally from the Bruins.

Score Prediction: Bruins 2, Flyers 4.
