The 2018 NHL offseason is in full effect. However that doesn’t players learning how to bet NHL online should be taking any sort of breaks. Instead, bettors should be focused on all the latest changes around the league. To help sportsbook players out, we’ve assembled a list of the most improved teams around the league. Take an NHL sports betting look.

2018 NFL Offseason Outlook | Teams who’ve Improved the Most

No. 1 Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs were able to convince John Tavares to take a pay cut and play for his hometown. On top of that, Toronto was able to halt their 50+ year streak without bringing home a title to the city. Leo Komarov is no longer part of the team thanks to Kyle Dubas. While that may sign like a bad thing, it should work out positively for Toronto in the end. All that’s left for the club to do is cross the hurdle that is the William Nylander/Auston Matthews extensions.

No. 2 Tampa Bay Lightning

While most of us were blind to this possibility, Steve Yzerman has been putting the Lightning’s little cap space to good use. He tried snagging Tavares but fell short but it doesn’t look like he’ll be falling short in his efforts to bring in Erik Karlsson. With his efforts, he should have no problem re-signing the likes of Slater Koekkoek, Louis Domingue, Cedric Paquiette, and the coveted JT Miller. You can also throw in top defensive player Ryan McDonagh. Granted, McDonagh does have a big contract that’ll be chewing up some of that cap space.

No. 3 Washington Capitals

You know the offseason is going well when you’re parading around your town. However, the fact that Barry Trotz took off isn’t going to play out well for Washington. However, Todd Reirden was extremely involved as an assistant coach so the transition could work out better than we believe. Washington jumped on the Philipp Grubauer and Brooks Orpik trade. By doing so the club picked up some value on two players who were certainly going to depart. The franchise also pulled through when they re-signed John Carlson. Jay Beagle’s absence should have a negative impact, but Devante Smith-Pelly should be able to cover.

No. 4 Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas completely shocked the world with what they were able to accomplish. But moving forward, the club will be striving to get the NHL sports betting job done. A lot of their inaugural accomplishments are thanks to the brilliance of George McPhee. McPhee made Paul Stastny the highest paid player on the team but was smart not to sign him after 35. Additionally, he had no problems walking away from the likes of James Neal. Notwithstanding those moves, McPhee has taken some heat for giving Ryan Reaves a bit too much money. Ultimately how he handles the pair of RFAs that are William Karlsson, Colin Miller and Shea Theodore will determine what the community thinks about him. But there’s no doubt online betting players be watching this team during the 2018 NHL offseason.
