Who Will Emerge as the NFC’s Football Betting Leader?
Posted by: Anthony Yaylor
The Los Angeles Rams have quietly emerged as the frontrunners to win the NFC. Despite this noteworthy accomplishment, Los Angeles is still relatively unheard of in the football betting community. Regardless, the Rams are one of 3 teams in the NFC to have a 7-2 record, so it’s time to start paying attention to Los Angeles. The only problem with that is that the Rams have this aura around them that suggests that once people do start paying attention to them, they’ll quickly crumble apart. This is a franchise that hasn’t the made the playoffs in 13 years and haven’t had a winning record since 2003. So, the belief that the Rams will suffer a setback once the limelight fixes its attention on them isn’t completely dumbfounded. Ultimately there’s no question that more and more sports betting websites will start heeding attention to the Rams. The only question is how will Los Angeles respond? We’ll get our first glimpse at this answer this NFL betting weekend when the Rams travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings, another team boasting a 7-2 record. What will the bookmakers have to say about this battle between 7-2 teams?

Los Angeles Rams
As aforementioned, the Rams come into this Week 11 matchup flaunting a 7-2 record which ranks them 1st in the NFC West. It’s surprising to see the Rams leading a division consisting of the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks, two teams that were thought to be playoff contenders at the start of the season. Injuries have crippled the Cardinals’ playoff hopes and Seattle is going through their usual early to mid-season slump. But at 6-3, there’s no question that the Seahawks are the biggest threat that Los Angeles is facing at the moment. It goes without saying that the Rams will need a win this Sunday in order to maintain their slight lead over the Hawks. By the looks of it, the football betting lines don’t think that Los Angeles will get the job done this weekend. Although, that 2 point prediction on the spread line does foretell a close matchup.
The Vikings march into this contest sporting the same record as the Rams. At 7-2, Minnesota has decent lead atop the NFC North. Right now, the Lions and Packers are both tied at 5-4 with Detroit getting the No. 2 spot due to having a win over Green Bay. Furthermore, the Lions own a win over the Vikings so Minnesota really doesn’t want to lose the lead they’ve accrued. The Vikings come into this Sunday’s game riding a 5 game winning streak that has convinced NFL football online bookmakers to side with Minnesota over the Rams.
