Washington Redskins

Right now the Redskins are sitting on a 5-3 record that pegs them as the best team in the NFC East. Considering they share a division with the reigning Super Bowl champions, it’s clear that Washington has been playing very well this season. Nevertheless, the Eagles aren’t too far behind Washington with a 4-4 record. But all things considered, there’s no question that the momentum lies with the Redskins. At least it did until this weekend’s 14-38 loss to the Atlanta Falcons that snapped a 3-game winning streak. Now the franchise vies for a rebound against one of the more explosive offenses in the NFL. All in all, the Bucs have the talent to deliver 40 plus points on any given Sunday. However, they lack the consistency to be considered one of the best teams in the NFL. On top of that, they sport a questionable defense. On the other hand is Washington, who has an elite defense and a competent offense. With that in mind, it’s clear that the Redskins are the better pick this Sunday.

Players to Watch: Alex Smith (1,867 passing yards, 9 TD, 3 INT), Adrian Peterson (604 rushing yards, 4 TD, 1 F), and Jordan Reed (340 receiving yards, 1 TD, 33 REC).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs swim into this Week 10 matchup sporting a 3-5 record that ranks them as the worst team in the NFC South. Early on Tampa Bay should some potential with Fitzpatrick under center. But once Fitzpatrick had a single bad game, the Bucs decided to make a switch to Jameis Winston. That didn’t turn out too well so Tampa Bay once again made the switch to the veteran. And although they enter this Sunday’s matchup riding a 2-game losing streak, the club is still sticking with Fitzpatrick. At the end of the day the veteran’s arm gives them the best chance to succeed. But with a bunch of ball-hawking corners in Washington’s secondary, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Fitzpatrick throw for another 4 interceptions come Sunday.

Players to Watch: Ryan Fitzpatrick (1,793 passing yards, 17 TD, 7 INT), Peyton Barber (376 rushing yards, 1 TD, 0 F), and Mike Evans (786 receiving yards, 4 TD, 47 REC).
