Tennessee Titans
The Titans were one of last season’s biggest surprises, seeing as how they managed to sneak into the playoffs. Tennessee would go on to finish the regular season with a 9-7 record to finish 2nd in the AFC South. Even though they came up short in the divisional race, the Titans still managed to win a Wild Card berth. Surprisingly, the Titans would go on to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round 22-21. The Chiefs were one of last season’s most dominant teams but started to falter near the end of the season. Unfortunately for the Titans, that Wild Card berth would be their last win of the season as the club would be eliminated in the Divisional round. There they faced the New England Patriots in a 14-35 losing effort. Nevertheless, the club is hopeful they can build on last year’s success in 2018.
Players to Watch: Marcus Mariota (3,232 passing yards, 13 TD, 15 INT), Derrick Henry (744 rushing yards, 5 TD, 1 F), and Delanie Walker (807 receiving yards, 3 TD, 74 REC).
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins were ridiculed for brining Jay Cutler into the mix last season, who became the laughing stock of the web after saying that he didn’t need to be in great shape because he played quarterback. Well things turned out just like we expected as Miami finished the season with a 6-10 record to finish 3rd in the AFC East. While Adam Gase didn’t lose his job, he didn’t exactly win any fans over. Heading into this year’s season, Miami will still be looking to rebuild. But judging by the controversy that has been brewing in New England, the Dolphins might have a shot at the division this season.
Players to Watch: David Fales (265 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT), Kenyan Drake (644 rushing yards, 3 TD, 2 F), and Kenny Stills (847 receiving yards, 6 TD, 58 REC).
