Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Although many NFL betting online fans had their doubts about Philip Rivers & Co, the Los Angeles Charger are off to a great start this season. Albeit, they haven’t had the toughest schedule in pro football, but nevertheless they’re still showing up each and every Sunday. However, in this Sunday’s Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers matchup, the Chargers will be forced to face their opposition overseas at the Wembley Stadium. Will the sportsbook betting odds take this into account? Let’s mulch over the lines to get a better idea.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans charge into this weekend’s action sporting a 3-3 record that somehow manages to peg them as the best team in the AFC South. Technically Tennessee is tied with the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars for the lead in the division. However, since the Titans defeated both Houston and Jacksonville earlier this season, they currently have the South locked down. But considering who the Titans are facing this weekend, there’s no question that that divisional lead is at risk. The NFL betting online odds aren’t giving Tennessee much of a shot this weekend which makes sense when looking over the numbers. Although the Titans only give up a slim 17.8 per game, they also haven’t faced an offense as explosive as the Chargers. Similarly, since Tennessee only scores 14.5 per game, it seems unlikely that the Titans will be able to keep up with the 29.2 that the Chargers put up each weekend.

Players to Watch: Marcus Mariota (793 passing yards, 2 TD, 4 INT), Derrick Henry (240 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Corey Davis (385 receiving yards, 1 TD, 1 F).

Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles charges into this Week matchup sporting a stellar 4-2 record that pegs them as the 2nd best team in the AFC Qwest. Right now the division is led by the 5-1 Kansas City Chiefs. Although Kansas City is coming off a tough loss to the Pats, it seems extremely unlikely that the Chargers will be able to gun them down. Fortunately for Rivers and the Chargers, they’ll be going up against a rather meek team this weekend. Unless the overseas trip has some massive effect on the Chargers, Los Angeles should be able to cruise to a win this Sunday. There’s a slim possibility that the Titans are able to keep the Chargers from running up the score this weekend. But even if that’s the case it seems impossible for a team with as few weapons as Tennessee to defeat a team consisting of Rivers, Gordon and Allen.

Players to Watch: Philip Rivers (1,702 passing yards, 15 TD, 3 INT), Melvin Gordon (466 rushing yards, 6 TD, 0 F), and Keenan Allen (434 receiving yards, 1 TD, 1 F).
