Tennessee Titans

The Titans turned in a 9-7 record this season that led to a 2nd place finish in the AFC South. Interestingly enough, Tennessee finished the year with a 2-3 record through their final 5 games of the season. Despite that poor finish, and much to everyone’s surprise, the Titans were able to lock up a spot in this year’s postseason by upsetting the Jacksonville Jaguars 15-10 in Week 17. This, coupled with the success the Titans found earlier this season, allowed Tennessee to snag up the AFC’s 5th seed. In doing so, the Titans were able to snap a 6 year postseason drought that hung over their franchise. It’s a noteworthy accomplishment, but it’s unlikely that Tennessee will be able to overcome the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs finished the 2017 NFL betting online season with a 10-6 record to win the AFC West. This marked the 2nd consecutive divisional title that the Chiefs have been able to claim. It’s not surprising at all to see Kansas City competing in the playoffs, since Kansas City was one of the most dominant teams in the league through the first half of the season. The Chiefs opened up the year with a 5-0 record that proved this team had the tools to compete at the highest level. However, Kansas City would suffer a major setback right after, losing 6 of their next 7 games. In the end, the Chiefs were able to rebound by going 4-0 through the final 4 weeks of the season to win the AFC West.

Online sportsbook players betting on this matchup should shy away from taking the Chiefs straight up. Kansas City is a massive favorite on the money line, which offers very little value. Sure, the Chiefs are likely to come out on top, but you can get a much better payout by taking Kansas City on the spread.
