Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Cincinnati Bengals NFL Betting Picks

Early on in the football betting online season, the Bengals looked like a force to be reckoned with in the AFC North. Now, heading into Week 8, it’s clear that Cincinnati is having a hard time living up to that hype. In fact, the franchise enters this weekend’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup riding a 2-game losing streak. Granted, the Bucs aren’t the toughest team in the NFL. So does this mean that Cincy will be able to bounce back this upcoming weekend? Let’s break down this Sunday’s NFL sportsbook betting lines to find out.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers enter this weekend’s matchup sporting a 3-3 record that ranks them 3rd overall in the NFC South. Right now the division is led by the 5-1 New Orleans Saints, so Tampa Bay will need a ton of luck if they are to have a shot at winning the South this season. Nevertheless, Tampa Bay recently snapped a 3-game losing streak by defeating the Browns 26-23 at home. While Cleveland might not be the biggest threat in the NFL, the Bucs really needed that win. The only question now is whether or not that victory will give Tampa Bay enough momentum to pick off the ailing Bucs. Looking over the numbers, it’s clear that the Buccaneers have a fighting chance this Sunday. Right now they’re scoring 27.8 while giving up a significant 32.7. However, those numbers aren’t too far off the 26.3 that the Bengals are scoring and the 29.0 that they’re giving up.

Players to Watch: Jameis Winston (905 passing yards, 5 TD, 6 INT), Peyton Barber (260 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Mike Evans (591 receiving yards, 3 TD, 40 REC).

Cincinnati Bengals

After losing their last two games consecutively, the Bengals enter this weekend’s action riding a 2-game losing streak. At 4-3, Cincinnati is focused on chasing down the 3-2-1 Steelers, who beat them 28-21 just two games ago. While that loss was disheartening, this past weekend’s 45-10 mauling at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs was downright embarrassing. Now the club must find a way to bounce back against a rather weak team. The only problem is that the morale in the locker room must be at an all-time low. And if they don’t Tampa Bay seriously this Sunday, Cincy will certainly find themselves at the wrong end of a 3-game losing streak.

Players to Watch: Andy Dalton (1,822 passing yards, 15 TD, 8 INT), Joe Mixon (386 rushing yards, 2 TD, 0 F), and AJ Green (611 receiving yards, 5 TD, 40 REC).
