Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons NFL Betting Picks

With last night’s online NFL betting win over the Washington Redskins, the Saints are unequivocally the best team in the NFC South. However, both the Bucs and Falcons will be looking to question New Orleans’ current status this weekend in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons matchup. Neither side has been that dominant this season. The Bucs started hot but have quickly lost steam. On the other hand, the Falcons don’t look like a shadow of their former selves. With that in mind, what do the NFL legal odds have to say about this weekend’s matchup?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs slide into this weekend’s action sporting a 2-2 record that ranks them 3rd in the NFC South. With the Saints wielding a 4-1 record, the Bucs have already lost significant ground in the divisional race. Fortunately for the Bucs, the Falcons don’t bring much momentum into this weekend’s matchup, opening the door for Tampa Bay to step up and earn their second NFC South win of the season. Since the Buccaneers kicked the season off with a 48-40 upset win over New Orleans, they could pose a problem for the Saints down the road. Granted, we haven’t seen anything out of Tampa Bay to suggest that they can keep pace with New Orleans. Throughout the first couple weeks of the season, the Bucs had one of the strongest offenses in the NFL. Since then, Tampa Bay has faltered and has been unable to find any offensive success. Their recent 48-10 loss to Chicago makes this perfectly clear. However, coming off a Bye, we might see a turnaround in the Bucs offense this weekend.

Players to Watch: Jameis Winston (145 passing yards, 1 TD, 2 INT), Peyton Barber (148 rushing yards, 0 TD, 0 F), and Mike Evans (426 receiving yards, 3 TD, 29 REC).

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons fly into this weekend’s NFC South matchup sporting a meager 1-4 record that ranks them dead last in the NFC South. No doubt Atlanta had high hopes for the season but have failed to match every single one of them. And although their first three losses of the season weren’t that concerning, seeing how Atlanta was competitive against some of the top teams in the NFL, this past weekend’s 41-17 loss to the Steelers certainly was. See Pittsburgh hasn’t been having a great season and there’s absolutely no reason to get blown out by them. Especially when considering just how weak the Steel Curtain is this season. Ultimately this weekend’s matchup is a must win for Atlanta. Not because they’ll have a chance at the playoffs, but because they need to give their fans something to cheer for.

Players to Watch: Matt Ryan (1,601 passing yards, 11 TD, 2 INT), Tevin Coleman (225 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 F), and Julio Jones (564 receiving yards, 0 TD, 34 REC).
