Steelers Looking To Take Advantage of Ravens’ Recent Loss

Even though the Cincinnati Bengals took hold of the AFC North in 2015, the NFL sportsbook odds were backing the Pittsburgh Steelers to win the North this season. Now that we’re drawing nearer to the end of the online NFL betting season we can see how accurate the odds truly were. As things stand now the Pittsburgh Steelers are leading the North and have a 1-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens, not the Cincinnati Bengals. As is all too common for Cincinnati, the Bengals followed up their playoff finish by posting a disappointing season. At 5-7-1 the Bengals are dangerously close to a losing season, and since Jeff Fisher just got fired it’s only a matter of time before Marvin Lewis has to find a new job as well. The Ravens are 7-6 and missed their opportunity to tie the Steelers this past Monday night when they lost 30-23. Now, in Week 15, the Steelers will have a perfect opportunity to advance their lead in the North.

This upcoming Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be traveling to Cleveland to face off against their AFC North rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers will be coming into this contest with a 4-game win streak, while the Bengals will be coming in with a 2-game win streak. Let’s see which teams’ win streak the online NFL betting odd are predicting will be snapped.

NFL Odds – Week 15 – Sunday, December 18th

Pittsburgh Steelers -3 (-120) 44 (-110)
Cincinnati Bengals +3 (EV) 44 (-110)

Just as to be anticipated, the online NFL betting lines are siding with the team with the better record. Also, Sunday’s game will be the second time these divisional foes have faced each other this season. Since the Steelers won 24-16 the first time these two met, the odds are probably taking that into consideration when putting together the lines for this contest. Looking over both these teams’ numbers; are there any mismatches that favor either team?

Judging from both of these teams’ statistics, it’s clear that the Steelers will have the upper hand this Sunday. Oftentimes it is Steeler’s defense that is in the spotlight but this year it is their offense that ranks within the top-10. The Steelers will head into this game with the 9th best rushing offense, the 8th best passing offense, and the 7th best total offense in the NFL. Which should scare the Bengals, especially when considering where their defense ranks. Currently the Bengals are the shameful owners of the 25th worst rushing defense, 12th worst passing defense, and 20th worst total defense in the league. In other words, Roethlisberger and company should have a field day this Sunday. If you’re going to bet on football in Week 15, make sure to pick the Steelers over the Bengals.
