Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks last collided against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and came out with a 40-34 win. The high-scoring game allowed the team to expand its horizons. Each key player ended with impressive stats as they were given full rein to express their football prowess.

QB Russell Wilson was hell-bent on 29/43 and 378 passing yards. His crowning glory for the night, however, was 5 thrown TDs. Chris Carson wholeheartedly supported him with 16 carries pegged at 105 yards. Tyler Lockett was also in top form with 13 receptions. He helped the team gain 152 yards. The Seahawks were surprisingly not rush-dependent. They only rushed for 22 times out of 68 plays.

The Seahawks seem to have it all- an upper-tier record, decent scoring and defense, and players that can perform extra well if they feel the need to. However, there’s always room for improvement. In the Seahawks’ case, they need to tighten up their defensive game against rushing.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are the top of the pack, no question about that. With their unbeaten record, they’re every sports bettor’s favorite NFL team. However, they did just OK in their previous matchup. During a very close call with the Arizona Cardinals with a 28-25 scoreboard, the players all had good but not great figures. QB Jimmy Garropolo did 28/37 at 317 air yards. He even chucked in 4 TDs to add icing to the cake. Matt Breida did 15 carries for a total of 78 yards. Emmanual Sanders made the team gain 112 yards due to 7 receptions.

The 49ers were a well-oiled engine in all their previous games, but they seemed a bit tired in their previous matchup. They ran the ball 31 times out of 69 plays. Their defense was just average at 71% allowed throw completion rate for the opponent. They even allowed 23 rush attempts. Overall, the team gained 411 yards against their opponent’s 357 yards.

The 49ers seem to be slowing down due to the pressure and the tight schedule the team has to contend with. They better keep the steam going though, as they’re on a sure route to the finals. If they manage to keep up their streak, they’re eventual shoo-ins for the season’s crown.
