This online NFL betting weekend is filled to the brim with enticing matchups. However, there’s no question that the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens AFC North pairing is one of the more intriguing pairings of Week 9. This will be a colossal battle to determine who is better suited to represent the division in the postseason. Having said that, what kind of outcome are the sportsbook betting odds predicting for this fierce rivalry? Let’s take a look at the wagering lines to get a better idea.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens – Sunday, November 4th
When: 1:00 pm ET
Where: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, Maryland
Stream: CBS Sports, NFL Game Pass
Online NFL Betting Odds:
The Steelers ride into this Week 9 matchup sporting a 4-2-1 record that ranks them as the best team in the division. However, the AFC North is extremely tight at the moment since the 5-3 Cincinnati Bengals rank No. 2 while the 4-4 Ravens are No. 3. Clearly, a win over Baltimore this Sunday would go a long way for Pittsburgh in securing their divisional lead – especially since they beat the Bengals just two weeks ago. Since the Steelers suffered a 26-14 loss to Baltimore at home earlier this season, it’s easy to see why the odds are pegging Pittsburgh as the underdog on the road in Week 9. Nevertheless, the Steelers enter this matchup riding a 3-game winning streak and will be eager to build on their momentum. Unfortunately, the numbers don’t exactly favor them. Right now they’re scoring 29.1 per game, which is significantly higher than the 24.6 that Baltimore delivers. However, their defense is giving up a whopping 24.6 per outing, much more than the slim 17.1 that the Ravens allot. Clearly the Steelers will need their offense to be firing on all cylinders this weekend if they are to have a chance of winning. Le’Veon Bell is expected to make his return this week and it’ll be interesting to see if he improves or worsens the Steelers situation.
Players to Watch: Ben Roethlisberger (2,290 passing yards, 14 TD, 7 INT), James Conner (599 rushing yards, 9 TD, 3 F), and JuJu Smith-Schuster (594 receiving yards, 2 TD, 46 REC).
The Ravens fly into this Week 9 contest sporting a 4-4 record that ranks them No. 3 in the division. Currently on a 2-game losing streak, it’s interesting to see the odds peg them as the favorite this Sunday. Since they’ve given up 60 points in their last two games, one can assume that Pittsburgh will not struggle to put points on the board this weekend. if that’s the case, then it’s up to Joe Flacco & Co. to win this matchup. All in all Flacco has been having a pretty good season, albeit he has been inconsistent at times. However, he did have a tremendous outing in their first matchup against the Steelers. In their 26-14 win over Pittsburgh, Flacco delivered 2 touchdowns, 363 passing yards, 0 interceptions and a masterful 109.5 passer rating. He’ll need to be that good this weekend, given just how many weapons Pittsburgh has.
Players to Watch: Joe Flacco (2,259 passing yards, 12 TD, 6 INT), Alex Collins (358 rushing yards, 5 TD, 3 F), and John Brown (586 receiving yards, 4 TD, 31 REC).
