Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Betting Online Preview
The Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars matchup will be held this upcoming NFL betting online weekend. Three weeks ago this would’ve been an extremely appealing matchup. Nevertheless, a large amount of English folks should show up to watch this battle. What kind of legal betting predictions can they make off of this inter-conference matchup? The eagle fly into this weekend’s matchup sporting a 3-4 record that ranks them as the 2nd best team in the NFC East. Considering that they’re coming off a Super Bowl championship, this is not the type of season that Philly was hoping for. Furthermore, with the 4-2 Redskins leading the division, the Eagles need a quick turnaround to avoid falling too far behind in the divisional ladder. Fortunately they’re going up against a Jacksonville team that is struggling pretty severely at the moment. The Jags enter this matchup riding a 3-game losing streak and they’ll desperately need a turnaround. That desperation will likely play to the Eagles’ favor since they have the better quarterback.
Players to Watch: Carson Wentz (1,502 passing yards, 10 TD, 1 INT), Wendell Smallwood (233 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 F), and Zach Ertz (618 receiving yards, 2 TD, 57 REC).
With this past weekend’s 20-7 loss to Houston, Jacksonville has now fallen to 3-4 on the season. This ranks them as the 3rd worst team in the AFC South. Fortunately for the Jags, the AFC South is currently led by the 4-3 Texans, so Jacksonville is still very much alive in the playoff race. However, they could really use a turnaround this weekend. After all, they’ve lost 30-14 to Kansas City, 40-7 to Dallas and 20-7 to Houston in the last 3 weeks. The defense certainly cost them the Cowboys game but it’s clear that there’s entirely too much pressure on that unit since that Jags’ offense can’t seem to score on anybody. In fact, the Jaguars’ current 16.6 points per game average ranks them as the 29th worst scoring offense in the NFL. It doesn’t matter how good your defense is. If you can’t put points on the board you’re not going to make the postseason.
Players to Watch: Blake Bortles (1,735 passing yards, 9 TD, 8 INT), TJ Yeldon (327 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 F), and Dede Westbrook (404 receiving yards, 2 TD, 31 REC).
