Online NFL Preseason Betting News & Matchups

Posted by: Charlie Smith

Online NFL betting fans are preparing for the upcoming season by taking full advantage of online sportsbook’s preseason action. However, it hasn’t all been good news, especially for NFL players who have already suffered an injury. Losing a starter to an injury in the preseason is a hefty blow and while the biggest names around the league are still healthy, there have been a handful of key losses. Let’s take a look at the biggest names around the league to have gotten banged up.

LB Raekwon McMillan, Miami Dolphins

McMillan has suffered a torn ACL (right) that will keep him out of the lineup for the entire 2017 season. It’s certainly a bummer considering that McMillan was the Dolphins’ second-round draft choice that was slated to start at middle linebacker for Miami.

CB Damarious Randall, Green Bay Packers

Randall has suffered a concussion. Currently, it’s unclear how long the injury will keep the defensive back on the sidelines. Listed as a starter, Kevin King – the Packer’s first selection in this past draft, will get the start in place of the injured Randall.

LB Trent Murphy, Washington Redskins

Murphy tore his left ACL/MCL and is expected to miss the entire season. The online NFL preseason betting season has not been good to Washington, who needs all the help they can get on defense.

S Su’a Cravens, Washington Redskins

Another blow to Washington’s defense, albeit not as severe. Cravens is recovering from a sore knee. He is expected to miss 3-4 weeks before making the start on opening day.

DL Billy Winn, Denver Broncos

Winn has also suffered a torn ACL. Winn was expected to play a big role in Denver’s rotation but will not be able to play this upcoming season.

RB Bishop Sankey, Minnesota Vikings

Yet another torn ACL. Sankey was putting in work for the No. 2 spot in the Vikings’ rotation but will now miss the entire season.

Week 2 of the online NFL preseason betting season continues this week. Teams, fans, and online sportsbooks alike will enjoy a brief hiatus before the action kicks off again this Thursday. One contest worth looking over is the matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins that will take place this Thursday. Let’s take a look.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins – Thursday, August 17th

When: 7:00 pm ET

Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida

TV: Local Broadcasts

Stream:, NFL Game Pass

Online NFL Preseason Betting Odds:

Baltimore Ravens TBP

Miami Dolphins TBP

The Ravens are coming off a 3-23 win over the Washington Redskins that has the team in high hopes about Thursday night’s contest. The Dolphins are also feeling pretty good about their chances since they just picked up a 23-20 win over the reigning NFC champion Atlanta Falcons. Since Baltimore delivered a more defiant result in Week 1 of the preseason, a good portion of players betting on NFL preseason games might want to favor the Ravens over the Dolphins.
