The Jaguars are coming off a 23-20 loss to the New York Jets this past weekend. It’s hard to get a read on this year’s Jaguars, at times they look like a dominant team and at others they fail to get the job done. Take this past weekend for example. The Jets aren’t the most elite team in the NFC East and coming up short against a team without a quarterback shows that you’re not quite ready to compete for a division title. Nonetheless, the Jags have pulled off some great upsets this year. Most notably, their 29-7 win over the Texans in Week 1 and a 44-7 pummeling of the Baltimore Ravens.
Granted, their win over Houston was before the Texans made the switch to Deshaun Watson. Furthermore, their win over the Ravens was overseas and was following President Trump’s statements regarding anthem protests. So it seems like there’s always something else that is allowing the Jags to get these large upsets. Luckily for Jacksonville, the Steelers are currently dealing with some added drama.
This past Sunday, after Ben Roethlisberger failed to find an open Antonio Brown, Brown took to the sideline to throw a tantrum. The Steelers’ ace receiver picked up a water cooler and tossed it. Once a coach came to calm the player down, Brown continued to act up and simply would not listen. We’ve seen what an outspoken receiver can do in New York, with the Giants failing to win a game since OBJ headed down to Florida. Roethlisberger would go on to call out his receiver on a radio show, so there’s no question that things are a little tense in the Steelers locker room. Will the Jaguars be able to capitalize this online NFL betting Sunday?
At 3-1, the Steelers know they need to keep the momentum moving if they are to build up a comfortable lead in the division, especially with the offensive resurgence that the Cincinnati Bengals have enjoyed. The bet NFL online odds are pegging the Steelers as massive favorites this Sunday but considering the aforementioned drama that Pittsburgh is dealing with, and the odds currently available on the Jags, bettors might want to bet on the upset this Sunday.
