Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals pounce into this weekend’s matchup sporting a 2-3 record that ranks them 3rd in the AFC North. The division is currently led by the Pittsburgh Steelers and their 4-2 record. If the Bengals can pull off the up[set this Sunday, they’ll come one step closer to usurping the Black and Gold in the North. However, Cincinnati still needs to get past the 3-3 Ravens. The Bengals got off to a rough start in 2017, going two games without finding the end zone. The offensive struggles forced the franchise to dismiss their offensive coordinator. Since the change, the Bengals have gone 2-1 – so it seems like it paid off. NFL wagering bookmakers aren’t giving the Bengals much of a shot but the odds might have more to do with Pittsburgh’s recent win over the Kansas City Chiefs rather than anything the Bengals have done these past couple of weeks.

Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals will be looking to overcome the NFL’s 3rd best total defense. Dalton in particular will be put to the test this Sunday since the Steelers wield the NFL’s No. 1 pass defense. Pittsburgh is 23rd against the run, but the Bengals have the NFL’s 29th worst running attack. And considering that, with Dalton under center, the Bengals rank 24th in passing, fans can expect Cincinnati to have a tough time on offense this weekend.

Pittsburgh Steelers

As previously brought up, Pittsburgh is 4-2 on the season, giving them the lead in the division. The Steelers are coming off a 19-13 triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs. Until this past Thursday night, the Chiefs were the frontrunners in the AFC. However, given this past Thursday’s loss to the Oakland Raiders, online NFL betting fans will have to rethink the AFC’s power rankings. Pittsburgh’s two losses of the season have come against the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pittsburgh had been dealing with a fair share of controversy the last couple of weeks. From turmoil in the locker room, to a lack of unity regarding anthem protests, the Steelers were in the news for all the wrong reasons. But the way they played against Kansas City, with focus and discipline, has many thinking that the Steelers are without a doubt the frontrunners in the North if not the entire AFC.
